Miss Meow and her crocheted tail
Yesterday we went to a school carnival. It was really, really fun. There were 41 kid's in costumes, all of them cute and exciting.
EE and I decided on going as cats. Black and white was the colour theme. EE wore black cat ears, a black and white cat mask, black long-sleeve with white MEOW on it, a white knitted vest, a black cord short with black-silvery stockings, and a crocheted black kitty tail with pointy white end. I have painted my cat face for the occasion and wore black-silvery cat ears, and a long-sleeve stripy top.
The kitty tail is 32.5 cm long (the white part is 7.5 cm). The pattern is simple: I stared with 16 dc (UK) into a magic circle and continued round by round with 1 dc into each st (not turning, not joining) to get a tube. The tail is secured to the short with a safety pin.
